Best Leaf Blowers – Rated & Reviewed

Hello once again and thanks a million for taking the time to visit our review for the Best Leaf Blowers which are available across several brands and retail outlets across the marketplace.

In brief, Leaf blowers are a great tool used in lawns and gardens which propels air out of a nozzle to move debris such as grass cuttings and leave cuttings. Leaf blowers differ from model to model but they operate on simple basic principles to meet all of your needs. There are many types of leaf blowers such as gasoline leaf blowers and electrical powered leaf blowers.

Operational Tips before you buy a Leaf Blower:

There are a few leaf blower tips for you that might just make using your leaf blower a little bit easier, more efficiently and might make you a better quieter neighbor.

  • Before you start blowing you need to do a couple of things. Work out the way you intend to blow so, that you can try and concentrate all of your blowing towards one direction and if you have got multiple pathways make them all come towards one point. This will make it much easier to collect all of your material and it saves your wasting time by blowing back over the top of the clear area.
  • If you are near the house close the windows and doors to keep out some noise and any dust you might kick up. Walk through the area you plan to blow and pick up any larger things like twigs and branches and move big stuff out of the way.
  • An important thing to remember is that blowers are supposed to be a finishing tool for doing the fine work once you have finished all the bulk stuff. Before initiating the blowing process, make sure to wear all the personal protective equipment like gloves, safety glasses, headphones to protect your ears. If you have any kinds of allergy make sure to cover your face with a mask to prevent breathing in the dust and allergens released while blowing.
  • Start your blower up and if it's a cold start just let it run for few minutes before you go with maximum velocity. As you work over an area don't move in a straight line - use more of a semicircular or arc-like pattern. When you work like this you are focusing the material towards one point and remember you don't need to be running your blower on full power all the time.
  • Back off on the throttle a little bit and just use little bursts of power, they can be really effective. After material builds up; don't try to push mounds of stuff along with the airstream. Blowers are not designed to do so. It is better to get rid of the pile and start blowing again.
  • When you are working near walls don't blow towards the wall, blow along the walls otherwise you will end up with all the muck back into your face. In windy conditions blow across the wind or blow with it but don't try to blow into it otherwise you will end up with a mess all back in your face.

  1. Hey there, Nice article you’ve written here on leaf blowers as our place tends to get way out of control. I think any of these leaf blowers you’ve written about here would do a great job but my preference is the Greenworks model (option 2) followed then by the Sun Joe All Purpose option. Personally, we prefer buying the corded leaf blower so I don’t have to worry about charging batteries or replacing them as they can be too expensive for my budget. Thanks for sharing this review which have helped us decide which model to finally go with. Kind regards

  2. I have checked all these prices and Worx and Greenworks offer the best value in my opinion of all the prices available here. I never realised Walmart’s prices were so affordable and cheap – great news to save a couple of bucks! Nice list and well laid out with the pictures and key points of information to note so thanks for your assistance in my final search

  3. I was looking at the laser levels and came across this list of leaf blowers also, these would seriously come in handy and I reckon even I would be able to use something like this. This is something i would need to use very frequently as the battery on the one I have just doesn’t last very long. I can´t remember the brand now, either way it is time to get a new leaf blower. I really like the look of the 2 Worx options especially number 8 as I would not like to get the bare tool and the price is actually not bad at all.. Thanks for the helpful list as I have been able to narrow down my search to the last 3 as Greeworks and Sun Joe are in the back of my mind also

  4. I must say that this list is very helpful to me and I particularly found 3 operational tips useful for my own needs to avoid creating an absolute mess. From my point of view, it is essential to have a leaf blower as we have tons of trees around the house and it can be really annoying especially in the autumn. I had one but it broke last year due to the motor burning out so had to throw it in the skip so I am looking for a new reliable blower that hopefully can last a little longer. The Sun Joe 2 speed blower looks very attractive at Walmart and it would suit me the best from a cost and operation point of view.

  5. We recently put in new grass and we went for astroturf. We were so excited that we wouldn’t have to take care of the garden! Well, that turned out to be untrue, the leaves are everywhere. We have been looking to buy a leaf blower so a couple of weeks now. I like the sound of the Worx 7.5A blower mainly because of its price, my garden is pretty small so it should do a dandy job! Thanks for pointing that option out for me as will save a few dollars there
